Duke and OzarkBlue blueberry plantations

Blueberries are the main production at the Diagares farm. In this sector, we can find Duke variety blueberries, which are known for their good size, sweetness, and firmness. Across the estate, you will find other varieties, such as OzarkBlue, located on the other side of the road. This variety has a smaller size than Duke, is less sweet, and has similar firmness.

To ensure the quality of the fruit is not compromised, the plant needs to enter a dormant state in winter, meaning it requires a certain number of cold hours, which varies by variety. To check if the variety has reached the necessary cold hours, we monitor them remotely based on temperatures below 7ºC. Since the farm was acquired, these varieties have remained and have proven to be good for export.
